Foreign students VS Local Students in academic
The foreign students are tend to be more focus during the lessons while the local students are more likely to talk to their friends in class.
The advantage for local students is English Language as compared to students for example, foreign students from China as they only learn English at a later time when they came to Singapore. In addition,it will be even difficult for them as mathematics and science papers are also in English form. Because when they were in China,their subjects papers were all in Chinese form. So when they came to Singapore as study, they will find that English Language is very important as the questions in the papers are set in English form,they have to understand what does the question means if not they might misunderstood the questions. Because of that, the local students might think that it is okay not to work hard in their English where else, the foreign students will work extra mile to learn English.
Singapore is rather a small country and a small human population so is understandable that local students are that worried how to stand out from the rest as the competitive sphere is not really big compared to other big countries.
The local students continue perform well too. Local students are also working hard in academic to achieve their goals and dreams.
We should not have negative attitude towards the foreign students such as the local students feel unhappy about the matter that they came to Singapore to compete with us in academic, they don't belong here, they being arrogant as they think they are smarter than us. But the local students can be more friendly and welcoming them as they came here to learn more and gain more experience and knowledge. We can learn from one another and that benefits all of us.
